Back when my Dad graduated from college he was gifted one share of Apple stock from his dad since he was going into the tech industry. My Dad then subsequently lost that certificate in a move or something like that and we assumed it was long gone, but he was convinced that it was somewhere.
Fast forward to today and my Mom is cleaning out the garage and finds an old year book in a box. As she is looking through it and finds the old certificate in between the pages. Due to all the stock splits that have happened since he got it in 82 the stock is now worth roughly $7500

I dont think they’ve thought about it yet. My dad is in Arizona for business and I’m not sure he even knows about it yet haha.

In 1989 or 90, my dad was planning buying 100 shares of Apple stock. He couldn’t quite get the money together, and for some reason decided to not buy any, instead of buying less. He doesn’t like talking about that decision....

On a tangential note, I wonder if Adam Carolla has plans to restore that 935 back to the Apple color scheme it eventually had or if he’s going to keep it in the red color scheme that it had originally.

Years ago, back in the late ‘70s or early ‘80s, a relative gave out a bunch of single shares of Apple stock. I wonder how many of them still have those shares?
Whilst looking for money online one day whilst flat broke I started punching in various names to see if anyone I knew had any unclaimed property. I found a few bucks here and there owed to various relatives, living and dead, but also found a ton of shares and dividend checks belonging to a friend of mine. He and his family invested in Public storage 25 or 30 years ago, and he thought that those shares were long gone. At the time I told him about this unclaimed property it was worth about $27,500 and has only gone up since then. I only asked for a 10% finders fee...
